The Waggers Den isn't a chain, a franchise, or a rotating team of groomers. It's one certified groomer, in one quiet home studio, taking one pet at a time.
Why a home studio
If you've ever picked your dog up from a busy salon and felt them shaking in the car, you already know the problem. It's usually not the bath or the clippers. It's the six hours of crate, noise and strangers surrounding them.
So The Waggers Den works differently on purpose. There is one pet in the room at a time — yours. There are no holding cages. Your pet is groomed as soon as they arrive and goes home as soon as they're finished, usually in two to three hours rather than most of a day.
It's slower for me and it means fewer bookings. It's also the entire reason people keep coming back.
Certified, and tested in competition
Grooming is an unlicensed trade in Singapore. Anyone can buy clippers and start taking bookings, which is exactly why certification is worth asking about.
In April 2026 I took part in the 38th Singapore Kennel Club Grooming Certification and FCI Grooming Competition, working to breed standard in front of an international judge from Japan, and was awarded Best Groomer in Level C, Category 5.
I'm not telling you this to show off a rosette. I'm telling you because it's the only objective proof I can offer that the hands working on your dog's face have been measured against a professional standard.
How I work
A groom is not a race. If a cat needs three breaks, they get three breaks. If a senior dog can't stand comfortably for a full body trim, we do it in stages or we do less. I will always tell you honestly what I could and couldn't finish, rather than forcing it.
If a coat is badly matted, shaving is often kinder than hours of pulling at the skin — and I'll say so, even when it isn't the answer you were hoping for. You'll hear about skin issues, ear problems or lumps I notice, so you can take them to your vet.
Updates during the session aren't a marketing gimmick — they're the thing owners tell me matters most. You'll see your pet mid-groom, so the hours they're with me aren't hours of silence on your end.
Nobody enjoys a surprise at collection. Send me your pet's breed, weight and a recent photo and I'll confirm the price before you book. If something changes on the day — heavy matting, for instance — I'll message you first.
The den itself
"Home-based" shouldn't mean improvised. The den is a dedicated, properly equipped grooming space — professional table, force dryer, and the same tools a salon uses. What it doesn't have is a row of cages and a waiting room.
For daycare and boarding guests, the setup stays the same: cage-free, home environment, air-conditioned room at night, and a deliberately small number of slots so nobody is left to entertain themselves in a pen.

If your pet is nervous, elderly, or has had a bad experience before, message me and tell me about them. I'd much rather have that conversation before the booking than on the day.
